🚨 Scam Alert – Phone and Text Scam 🚨

We have received reports from several members stating that they are receiving calls and texts from someone pretending to be Gulf Credit Union.
Scammers are pretending to be from Gulf Credit Union’s Fraud Department and are even spoofing our phone number—so it may look like the call or text is coming from us.

These scammers may:
📞 Ask for sensitive information, such as account or debit card details
📲 Send a text message that appears legitimate—responding to it may allow them access to your account
💳 Claim they need to “verify transactions” to trick you into sharing your card information

Remember: Gulf Credit Union will never ask for your personal or account information over the phone, by text, or by email.

If you receive a suspicious call or text, hang up immediately and contact us directly using the phone number on our website or your account materials.
