The drive thru is open at all of our locations and we have staff available to answer phone calls.

In addition to normal transactions in the drive thru, we will address all of your requests such as member service and lending transactions.

Our Mid-County location, 2779 Aero Drive, and our Bridge City Location, 4721 Hwy 87 S, drive thru will be open beginning Monday, April 20th, in addition to our Groves and Beaumont drive thru locations.

The hours for the Mid County drive thru are:
Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday—9  a.m. – Noon

The hours for the Bridge City drive thru are:
Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday—8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, closed

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates and Important Information – April 13, 2020

We are currently operating on limited staff due to COVID-19, we are asking members to use our electronic Home Banking Service or CAT (Call Anytime Teller) at 409.963.1432, to check their accounts for the Economic Impact Payments or other account inquiries instead of calling the credit union.  Our phone lines are overwhelmed.  If you need further service, please email [email protected] and we will respond to your email during regular business hours.   If you do not have access to email, you can call 409.963.1191 or 800.448.5328 and select Option 1, to leave a message. We will listen to the messages during business hours and get back with you as soon as possible. Call responsiveness may be extremely limited. Our 24/7 call center is helping to answer calls, however; they are also affected by COVID 19 and are following their local officials’ orders.  We appreciate your patience during this unprecedented time. Our Beaumont location, 2360 Dowlen Road, drive thru will be open beginning Monday, March 30th, in addition to our Groves location drive thru.

The hours for the Beaumont drive thru are:
Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, closed

The hours for the Groves drive thru are:
Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. – Noon

At this time at our Mid County location, only the Night Drop will be available.

Wednesday March 18th in a conscious effort to do our part to assist in reducing the spread of COVID-19, at close of business we suspended lobby access at all locations on Wednesday March 18th. We however provided expanded services via the drive thru.

Keeping our staff and their families’ health and needs in mind during this environment:

  • Thursday March 19th, at close of business we temporarily halted operations at three of our branches and provided drive thru expanded services via our main branch in Groves along with phone and email support.
    • This measure protected our staff and also allowed them time to personally prepare.
    • We are working with an essential team of 10 employees’ onsite and several more remotely to assist all of our member’s needs.
    • We continue to disinfect our offices, screen our employees and measure their personal situations.
    • We are working hard to follow the orders from Federal, State and Local agencies.
  • Due to our limited staff, the following service requests will be handled by emailing [email protected] or calling 409-963-1191 during regular business hours:  Mortgage and Business Lending, Wealth Management and Safe Deposit Box access
  • ALL BRANCH LOCATION ATM’S ARE FUNCTIONAL
  • If you are suffering a hardship due to the impact of COVID-19, we are here to assist you.  Please contact us via the indicated methods.

While we realize our decision to only work out of our main location in Groves might be inconvenient for some of our members, please know we are doing this to minimize the spread of the virus and the protection of our staff and their family and our members.  We urge you to continue utilizing our electronic services for all of your financial needs.

Our hopes are that normal operations will resume soon and everyone stays healthy and safe. We appreciate our members and your continued understanding.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Thursday, March 19, 2020

Keeping our staff healthy and safe is our utmost concern while still trying to serve our members.  In following the recommendations of Federal, State and Local officials and our interpretation of the most recent emergency orders issued by Judge Jeff Branick, we are working with very limited staff.  We have closed all of our branch locations effective Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., with the exception of the Main Office Drive Thru located at 5140 West Parkway Street, in Groves. We have a very limited staff working there, as well as remotely, to help ensure that our member’s needs are met. We will work this way until emergency orders change.

All electronic deposits will be posted, as well as all debit transactions. We encourage you to use as many of our electronic services, such as Home Banking, Mobile Deposit, and the Call Anytime Teller as possible. Please refer to the chart below to help find the most convenient method for Gulf Credit Union’s services.

If our Electronic Services cannot assist you, or you need assistance with another issue, please email us at [email protected]. During regular business hours we have a team monitoring this email and this will be the fastest and most effective way to get assistance. At Gulf Credit Union, the health and safety of our members, employees and community is our utmost priority.  We want to do the right thing and do our part in reducing the risk of spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19) therefore; Gulf’s Management Team has decided to convert all branches to full service drive thru’s. We will close all branch lobbies, beginning Thursday, March 19, until further notice.

Even though lobbies will be closed, we will continue to serve all of your needs through various channels.
