Gulf Credit Union Operational Update for Thursday, August 27th

As our local area begins recovery from Hurricane Laura, our offices will remain closed.  We will not be open at any location until Monday 8/31/2020 to allow our staff time to travel back to the area and assess property damage.  Our ATM’s at our Groves and Mid County Location are operational as well as our electronic services.  We will continue to post our credits, debits and mobile deposits remotely.  Some services will be limited until we return to our normal operational status.  Please check here for updates.

NOTICE CONCERNING “PENDING ACH”

With our ACH files being processed via our Disaster Recovery Center, you may see “pending ACH” on your account.  Please know that the files are being pulled in at different times than normal due to the evacuation,  but the posting date of your deposit from the sender determines when the credit or debit is actually posted to your account.  Be aware we have limited staff working remotely to perform these functions and times may take longer than during regular operating hours.

With the uncertainty surrounding the impact from the storm to our area and surrounding evacuation orders, for the safety of our staff, their family and our members we will close all locations today at end of business and will remain closed until it is safe for us to re-open. Watch our website www.gecu.org & Facebook page for updates. Please utilize our electronic services. We will have staff working remotely, posting mobile deposits , credits and debits daily. For your cash needs, please use your ATM or Debit card or visit a shared branch near you.

Gulf Credit Union Operational Update for Monday, August 24th

With the uncertainty surrounding the impact from these storms to our area, we will proceed with caution for the safety of our staff, their family and our members.

Starting at 1 pm today, Monday, August 24th, we will limit our lobby access at all branches to safe deposit box access only.   ALL locations will offer expanded drive thru services until close of business today. For those members who need access to safe deposit boxes, please request access via the drive thru.

We will operate with limited staff starting this afternoon and operations tomorrow will be determined by 7 am Tuesday.  As we watch the storms progression our hours of operation could be impacted with little notice.

We will have staff working remotely, accepting mobile deposits and posting credits and debits daily during normal working hours.  Posting times could vary from our normal times, please be patient.

For your cash needs, please use your ATM or Debit card or visit a shared branch near you. Remember to utilize our electronic services and watch our website www.gecu.org  and Facebook page for updates.

In the event of evacuations, any items placed in the night drops will not be posted until staff returns. We will have our after hours call center answering our calls, please know the hold times will be long. Email communications will be answered by limited staff members as quickly as possible.

Weather Notice

Predictions from the National Hurricane Center indicate the potential for severe weather throughout our area. In order to ensure the safety of our employees and our members, ALL Gulf Credit Union locations will close in the event of unsafe weather conditions.  In order to ensure your safety, we encourage you to prepare your finances prior to the forecasted weather impact.

The potential for severe weather is expected during the early part of next week, which could possibly impact our hours of operation.  In the event that we close, we will remain closed until it is safe for us to re-open.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

During this time, our Home Banking (https://www.gecu.org), mobile app, mobile deposit, shared branching (locations available under Access Services on our website at www.gecu.org.), Google Pay and Apple Pay will still be available for your convenience.
